WHO IS IT FOR?
This course is specially designed for intermediate pilots who want to take their paragliding skills to the next level. It is aimed at those who:
- - Hold an initial pilot's license, have completed at least 30 flights, and now want to improve their skills.
- - Want to learn how to fly in updrafts safely, mastering the essential techniques for progressing in this area.
- - Already have some experience in thermal flying and want to refine their skills to reach a higher level.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
This course will enable you to:
- - Understand the theoretical basics of thermal flying (thermals, slope flying, origin of updrafts).
- - Learn to analyze flight conditions and recognize updrafts in order to make better use of them.
- - Master the mechanics of flight and learn how to react to transient phenomena such as changes in angle of attack.
- - Improve your flying skills: pitch and roll management, choice of flight regime, and interaction between the controls and the harness.
- - Progress thanks to regular briefings and debriefings, which are key to helping you progress quickly and safely.
COURSE PROGRAM:
- - Theory day: Learn the basics of thermal flying, identify different types of thermals and flying conditions.
- - Practical exercises: Thermal flights, with flying exercises adapted to your level. You will practice combining flying and harness management to optimize your flights.
- - Continuous analysis: Each flight will be followed by an in-depth debriefing so that you can identify your strengths and areas for improvement.
- - Pilot's License Modules: Depending on your progress, we may be able to validate certain Pilot's License modules.
